Heads Up! Since you’re not a beginner anymore (great job making it to week 2), the format below is how we’ll approach all of the passages in these bible studies. Be sure to take Field Notes so you can talk about these these studies with your bible study partner because no one goes with God alone.
Also, it’s so important that you read the verses that headline these pages! It’s the bible that has the truth, not the bible study, no matter how helpful.
Okay, now that you’ve read Hebrews 4:12-13, let’s break it down and apply it to following Jesus. Answer these questions in your Field Guide.
What’s scarier than the pop quiz from last week? A pop final exam! We know that God is coming back and we’ll each have to give an account, but we don’t know when. On the surface that may seem frightening but there’s good news: it’s an open book test! It’s amazing that we have full access to the Good News. God isn’t going to throw any curve balls or expect anything outside of the scriptures. He’s literally given us his word so we can have confidence before him.
